Hernando Alzate Rodríguez
Bogota – Colombia 1959 Self taught artist for more than three decades in drawing, painting and sculpture, Alzate’s work spans many mediums to render his complex imaginarium of ideas. Alzate is the creative director of some of the leading multinational advertising agencies in Colombia, México and Ecuador including Ted Bates, Leo Burnett, McCann Ericsson, J . Walter Thompson and Ogilvy as well as his heading his own ICONIC agency from 1986 to 2004. Lecturer on Art History for Universidad Externado de Colombia and the Fundación para el Desarrollo Educativo CIDE. Since 2010 Alzate has been concentrating on commission works for private collectors of Contemporary Realism throughout the US, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela and Mexico.
